In this design, the central theme is inspired by the thought-provoking article “The Beautiful & The Useful” authored by graphic designer Paul Rand. By carefully reimagining the text layout, I aimed to cultivate a sense of openness and spatial clarity, inviting readers to engage with the content on a deeper level. Concurrently, I drew upon the ethos of simplicity and practicality espoused by Rand’s ideas, reflected in the inclusion of shaker furniture elements. The clean lines and minimalist aesthetic of shaker design serve to echo the principles of functionality and elegance championed in Rand’s article.
